An Open Letter: The Power of Generosity3/6/2016 - Chad Aukland
Are you feeling tired and worn out? Do you need refreshing today? So many people go around overwhelmed, tired, beaten down, and barely getting by. But that’s not God’s best. He wants us to prosper and be encouraged. He wants us to be refreshed. Here’s the key: be generous and refresh others.
An Open Letter: The Power of Joyful Worship
Psalm 16:11 says, “You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.” The psalmist understood what many of us do not – that it is useless to pray that God grant happiness through anything or anyone other than Himself.
Someone said it might be more accurate to say that: “The chief end of man is to glorify God by enjoying Him forever.” How do we enjoy God and glorify him? One primary way is through Joyful Worship…one of the chief character traits of the Real Faith found in our Founding Fathers during the first century church.
An Open Letter: The Power of Your Story
There is one thing that each of us possesses which is too important not to share: The Power of Your Story. Jesus told the Disciples in Acts 1:8 that when the Holy Spirit empowered them they would become witnesses. What does a witness do? Testifies and tells the story of what he or she has seen, heard, and knows is true in relationship to the saving and transforming power of Christ. Join us this Sunday as we continue in our message series – An Open Letter – and discover how to release the story that is waiting to be unlocked on the inside of you. A story that just might change someone’s life.
An Open Letter: The Power of Loving Community
When asked to write a song that would reach a universal audience for the first ever satellite simulcast, John Lennon responded with “All You Need is Love”. Jesus said the greatest commandment is defined by LOVE: Loving God and Loving your neighbor. If you need to be energized by a community that is defined by love join us this Sunday as we continue in our OPEN LETTER series and discover how Love can change our Marriages, Families, and Church Community.
